Profile: Operating since 1985 750 kW with capacity under PPA up to 1.5 MW and with a Prime Mover of Geothermal selling its power to the Lassen Municipal Utility District (LMUD) and interconnected to the LMUD grid Cycle acquired in 2014 from US Renewable Group (USRG) and located in Susanville, CA
Problem: Thirty year old energy project with aging equipment requiring high operating and maintenance (O&M) costs with reducing energy production efficiency thereby not producing at full potential production capacity of project.
Solution: Original Barber-Nichols organic rankine cycle equipment replaced with newly sourced carnot energy production technology from Climeon to maximize project capacity and production.
Results: Sourced financing and equipment in one stop shop with Baseload Capital as spin out from Climeon to develop, install and commission full equipment needs.
